Musical Tea for Bishop Cooper's Retirement by Christopher Enge | Monday, September 9, 2013 | 0 comment(s) Decatur's Church of the Living God will honor Bishop Thomas Cooper on his retirement after 44 years in the ministry. Just for comparison, he would have been serving the church "only" 20 years when I graduated from Millikin in Decatur in 1989.The church puts on a musical tea every year to raise funds for their anniversary celebration. There will be singing groups from other churches in Decatur as well as from Champaign. It sounds like terrific fun for a good cause.Congratulations to Bishop Cooper on his retirement.
